TCL All-Star Game: Adding to the history of Driller Park
Kilgore — The stars will converge in Kilgore tonight as the Texas Collegiate League hosts its annual All-Star Game, but one of the game’s brightest stars might be the ballpark itself.
Driller Park, home of the defending TCL champion East Texas Pump Jacks during the summer and the Kilgore High School Bulldogs in the spring, was built in 1947 for the Kilgore Drillers of the Lone Star League. Over the years, the stadium has become a fan and player favorite and a popular host to numerous high school baseball playoff games.
