East Texas — TXU is offering a new service to help East Texans save on their energy bill this summer.

You can purchase energy saving materials to help cut down on your monthly bill through the TXU website.

They also recommend energy efficient houses as a good way to go green.

TXU recommends residents:

*USe smart power strips

*Caulk doorways and ceilings

*Swith from regular lightbulbs to CFL lights

*Use chimney Balloons

*Use bug detecting CFL's
