Tyler, Texas — Republican nominee for U.S.. senate, Ted Cruz, stopped in Tyler today to campaign at an event with Grassroots America: We the People. We headed over to the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene to find out why the people were so fired up for Mr. Cruz.
Ted Cruz, says this year's election is unlike any other year and a choice between two very different paths. He said this year's election is a choice between spending money America doesn't have or fiscal responsibility and getting our of debt. He said, "We need to get our economy going, we need to get small business going, we need to get America back to work."
Cruz supporters at the event say the government is getting too big. One pastor, from Bridlewood Church in Bullard, said, "I believe America has lost her spiritual bearings and we need to get back to our constitutional roots." He challenged Mr. Cruz to bring freedom of speech back to the pulpit for pastors if elected.
Joann Fleming proudly introduced Ted Cruz at Friday morning's event and said she believes he knows, "To do the right thing, at the right time, for the American people." Other supporters of Mr. Cruz said they believe if things don't change fast in Washington D.C.. the military will decline. Mr. Cruz believes it is "grand-standing" of the United Nations to send election observers to the United States. He said, "I salute my former boss and dear friend, attorney general Greg Abbott for standing up to the United Nations and making a point that under Texas law, they have no jurisdiction." He also said it he wished the United Nations would, "Stop jumping on a soap box and demagogging the United States."

Cruz is in line with the ultra-conservative teavangelical right-of-right ryan-budget proponent woman dominator/hater, etc...if this is the best the teavangelical nutcases can run, we're in real trouble if anyone like this miserable man is elected...it is tough being a thinking, discerning, and truth-seeking patriotic American to live in or around Tyler...the bastion of right-wing rhetoric, the land of the rediculous and dangerous followers of faux news/rush/beck/hannity...OBAMA 11/6/2012!
"Ted Cruz Challenged at Tyler Campaign" What a misleading headline...but I think that was the point wasnt it Rachel? If it bleeds it leads but if it isnt bleeding you should rough it up a bit. Typical.
