U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) Tuesday, released the following statement regarding the announcement that the U.S. Supreme Court will review Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp. v. Sebelius and Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., cases that challenge the Obamacare contraception mandate:

"At this time of Thanksgiving, we remember our forefathers who fled religious persecution to pursue freedom of conscience in the New World. How sad that today Obamacare forces religious institutions and business owners of faith to violate their religious beliefs or face crippling fines. The First Amendment protects Americans' right to freely exercise their religion and no Congress or President has the authority to undermine this fundamental right. The Supreme Court should strike down the Obamacare requirements that force people to violate their faith in order to stay in business."

Democrats are no better, what good is insurance if you can't afford to buy groceries, gas, pay bills, etc? As far as I know an insurance policy is not very nutritious.

Cruz announced his alternative to Obamcare on CNN. Apparently his plan is "______". That's right he's been so busy fighting the mean old Obamacare he hasn't had time to come up with an alternative. So if your one of the 6 million Texans without insurance, eat right, get plenty of exercise, and pray for good health, because republicans aren't going to lift a finger to help you.
