TYLER- Tyler police say a driver drove off after hitting a man at a Tyler intersection on Thursday.

Police say it happened around noon Thursday at the intersection of West Gentry and Bow Street. Police say a man was walking across the intersection when a teen driver hit him and then sped off.

Witnesses say they saw the female driver cut across three lanes in order to make a right turn before hitting the man. Police say she called an hour after the incident to confess.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
