$11 Billion is the shocking amount released by the Texas Attorney General's's how much Texans who are supposed to be paying child support...actually owe.

It's a number that's been building up for the past 30 years or so.

Today, KETK went to PATH (People Attempting To Help) and we found East Texan Carla Pettigrew.  She has to go there to get groceries every now and then because she doesn't get any child support for the 4 grandchildren that live with her and her 2 kids.

"Where's the $11 Billion dollars that these children deserve?  You know, they didn't ask to be brought into this world...but they were.  And whoever brought them here should have to be made to be responsible to help at least take care of them," Pettigrew said.

A representative with the AG office says California is up to $19 Billion, built up over the same time period.

what we need is enforcement! If they would do this there would be less people on welfare & able to make ends meet. I went to them for help & i get nothing. I have went to 6 court dates & he never shows but i am told if i dont show i get a warrant. My son is 15 & is owed over 14,000 & his so called father laughed at me & told me i will never see that money. The AG"S office knows his address & knows where he works and still i get nothing..why?? Im tired of them not taking it serious and help!!!

this is an issue i have had for 18 years!!! I am a single parent of 3 kids & struggle everyday to support my kids. I am owed for 1 14,000 hes basically getting away with it because he lives in Dallas and when they go to serve him hes not home and they don't go back. this has went on for 2 yrs. they tell me their hands are tied until he is served. Its unfair to my son who is the one suffering. The father thinks its funny and tells me they wont catch him while hes living the high life!!
