135 years ago, 11 former Aggies gathered for the first time to form the Association of Ed-Cadets

The Houston Chronicle is reporting; for an institution known globally for being the Home of the 12th Man, Texas A&M could only scrounge up 11 for one of its seminal moments.

On this day 135 years ago, 11 former Aggies gathered for the first time to form the Association of Ed-Cadets – the organization that would become Texas A&M's alumni group, the Association of Former Students.

The 11-man group met at the mysteriously named "Bachelor's Hall" in Houston for the first time on June 26, 1879.
