Only $4.8 million has gone to candidates from Texas.

Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Texas Democrats are among the most generous donors to Democrat candidates in the nation. Just not to Democrats from Texas.

An analysis of Federal Election Commission data by the Houston Chronicle found that more than three-fourths of Democrat political money raised in Texas has left the state.
