Texas libraries are thriving
(KETK) Bullard Tx — As our world becomes more high-tech, many aspects of our lives becomes obsolete, and some may believe that their local library would be apart of that fading trend.
But it's quite the opposite
According to a study from the University of Texas at Austin, libraries in Texas benefit the state up to 2.4 billion dollars.
This is due to their low cost of upkeep, and the amount of people they serve.
Libraries offer free services to people who do not have electronics such as computers or e-readers.
Many of these people use libraries to help find a job, while others come to learn more about new reading devices.
It's a place that has continues to grow with the times.
According to the study, libraries return nearly $4.50 for every dollar spent.
