Rob Ryan looks like Jeff Bridges in "The Big Lebowski."

But Ryan has a much bigger role nowadays as the new defensive coordinator of the Cowboys.

Very little went right for the Dallas defense in 2010.

But expect to see a very different defense this year.

Wade Phillips is gone and now it's Rob Ryan's task to fix a defense that allowed a franchise worst 436 points last season.

Ryan told KETK's Phil Kuchinsky, "Wade's an excellent coach. He'll do a great job in Houston. We're going to do a great job here."

The best quote came from Cowboys linebacker Bradie James.

The veteran said, "I have three play books. I feel like a rookie."

Ryan is a defensive wizard but this is not going to be an easy job.

He's got to teach this team a very complex and completely new defensive system in a very short preseason.
