Whether you're young, old, or in-between... retirement one day... will be at hand.

Now, analysts say the recession we're in right now is draining away a huge chunk of the money you need to live on.

A new study says today's workers will lose an average of $2,300 a year in retirement benefits.

Younger workers and wealthier workers will lose even more.

KETK spoke with financial experts and East Texans to find out how this affects us all. Financial advisors tell KETK that when you turn about 45... that's when the panic of retirement planning usually kicks in.

Also... if you're in your early 20s and just starting out... experts say to start a 401k plan and begin putting money back immediately.
