The FBI needs the public's help to identify the 'Loan Ranger Bandit'

Tyler, TX — The 'Loan Ranger Bandit' is still on the run.
The FBI held a news conference on Thursday to discuss the investigation of several bank robberies dating back to 2009.
The FBI and Tyler Police tell us in the last few months they've received numerous tips on the crimes, and authorities need the public's help to identify him.
"The FBI is announcing a reward of $10,000 for the information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the Loan Ranger Bandit," says Diego Rodriguez, Special Agent, Dallas Division.
In the last five years, FBI officials say a bank robber known as the 'Loan Ranger Bandit' may have been responsible for 10 robberies.
Surveillance video has spotted the robber in three states, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas.
It's reported he's demanding and receiving money, and he's made his way through East Texas.
He was caught on camera in Tyler when he robbed BBVA compass bank and the Fed-Star Credit Union in College Station in 2012.
"Someone knows who this man is, the robber is further described as a white male in his early 30's approximately 5 feet 7 inches to six feet tall," says Diego Rodriguez, Special Agent.
The robber didn't attempt to disguise his face which makes it easy for the the public to identify.
"He may also drive a maroon Chevrolet S10 pickup truck with a thin white pin-striped around the truck bed," says Diego Rodriguez, Special Agent.
FBI officials refer to him as the loan ranger bandit because he robs banks while wearing a Texas rangers ball cap.
"our hope is that we get him captured before somebody does confrontation or something doesn't go according to his plan and he does use a weapon," says Gary
Officials say, he could be anywhere.
"He's considered to be armed and dangerous and has displayed a small handgun during the robberies, today no one has been physically harmed," says Diego Rodriguez, Special Agent.
Loan Ranger Bandit Description (Provided by the FBI):
•Height: Approximately 5'7" to 6'0"
•Weight: Approximately 200 pounds
•Eyes: Color unknown; wears glasses
•Hair: Short, light brown
•Age: Early 30s
•Remarks: The suspect does not attempt to disguise his face. He is often wearing glasses and wears various hats or a hoodie. His varied clothing styles include: athletic wear, jeans and business attire.
•Scars and Marks: The suspect has a small mole or mark just above his right eye on the lower part of his forehead.
•Vehicle Information: The suspect may drive a maroon Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that has a thin white pinstripe around the truck bed.
•Weapons Used: Small handgun.
