The Oval Office of Gregg County

Most of us will never get the chance to step into the oval office, but one Longview man has brought that historic office, to his backyard.

Ron Wade spent around $200,000 to build a nearly identical replica of president's oval office.

The project took three to plan, and eight years to complete, with more than 250 workers.

The office contains an exact replica of the president's desk in D.C.., as well as a chair from John F. Kennedy's administration, along with other historic items.

It's become a fixture in this Longview neighborhood, even though many still aren't sure what to make of it.

Students from as far as Russia and France have toured this Gregg County West Wing, and according to Wade, ever since the project has been complete, it's been a wonderful experience.
