According to ETMC Athens, 60 children were taken to the hospital after two Athens ISD school buses collided.

ETMC Athens tells KETK nine of the 60 children, between five and 10 years old, were injured. Officials said two initially were seriously injured, but all are now in good condition, after buses 13 and 14 hit on Palestine Street near the bus barn in Athens.

ETMC spokeswoman, Rebecca Berkley says there are some fractures, bumps, bruises, etc. All children are expected to be released to their parents this evening.

ETMC does not expect to admit any student involved in the wreck as the most serious injury was a fracture.

These bus driver's should have to be responsible for our children half of them don't really care about our kids it's just a job to them, we need to put those snap shots in all buses so there driving conditions or recorded and reviewed in real time so they know at that minute theirs trouble. Just saying.
