This St. Patrick's Day, students and faculty at Letourneau University are feeling lucky..and blessed as they set their eyes upon their new $14 million dollar "home away from home."

Freshman Gary Higginbotham says " It's extremely awesome. It's a blessing and it'll be a blessing for many years to come."

Letourneau President Dale Lunsford says he's proud of everyone's hard work "  A lot of people have invested a lot..it's a great celebration day for us."

The Allen Family Student Center has been under construction for nearly two years; it features a prayer room, collaboration rooms where students can use different tools and technologies to study in groups and a brand-new restaurant among many other cutting edge amenities including an upgraded achievement center.

Higginbotham says he approves of the improvements, "the old one was really small..and really cramped..so it's gonna be really helpul for all the students."

But, it's not all work for these kids, when students are done studying they can enjoy a state-of-the-art game room that features vintage and new electronic games.

Student John Davis says that's his favorite part.

"It's great cause I can come in here at anytime and play any of these games..and play some of the classic games from when I was little and used to go to arcades."

No matter what their favorite part is, students agree their new hangout gets an A+.
