It's what some parents are calling a complete nightmare.

They say students in the Spring Hill School District are being bullied, and there's nothing being done to stop it.

For more than a year, Cherie Pruitt's 13-year-old daughter, Caitlin, has been bullied at school.

"And it's just constant, it's daily, she deals with it to a certain point, but it's out of hand because nobody's doing anything about it," said Pruitt.

Girls call her names, spread rumors about her, and publicly humiliate her on Facebook.

Due to the emotional pressure of bullying in the past, Caitlin has acted out by cutting herself.

"I'm very afraid that if this continues, that she will start again, and my child's life is in danger," said Pruitt.

Dr. Wade French says bullying can lead to children acting out negatively, just like Caitlin did.

"That gives you an idea of the pain that child feels and the degree of fear they feel," said Dr. French.

Pruitt is just one of several parents who have contacted KETK about the bullying problem.

They all say they just want it to stop.

KETK has tried all week to speak to someone with the district about the reported problem, and Superintendent Dr. Wes Jones sent an email stating:

"Spring Hill ISD is addressing every reported case of bullying and wants every student to feel safe."
