According to the Lufkin Daily News, several children in East Texas received toys from the Marine Corps League this week.

"Almost 6,500 toys, as well as, $4,000 in cash donations were collected by the group," the paper said.  The collection started right after Thanksgiving and became quite a success.

The group participated this year to raised toys and money for the Toys for Tots drive, an effort that spanned from Rusk to Groveton, as well as Angelina County.
