Three Texas men are now behind bars after investigators found them in possession of 53 pounds of marijuana with a street value worth of $42,000.

On Friday in Douglass, Texas, Sheriff Investigators saw three men enter into the Douglass Cafe in two separate vehicles acting suspicious.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that investigators were in the Douglass area Friday afternoon conducting a followup on an investigation when they saw two vehicles pull into the parking lot of a local business.

Both vehicles appeared to be traveling with one another, but the man started acting suspicious when they saw investigators walk into the business.

Investigators started speaking with all three men and saw that they were very nervous.

Investigators entered into a consensual encounter with the three men, but very quickly became suspicious of what the men were doing.

After speaking with all three men, sheriff investigators felt that the men were engaging in criminal activity and requested consent to search both of their vehicles.

Officers found five large bundles of marijuana in the back seat of the first pickup truck.

Authorities also found a false compartment in the tool box of the second vehicle that had a mechanical motorized switch that would open the compartment.

The compartment was empty, but investigators found evidence of where the compartment had been used in thepast to smuggle narcotics.

Officials arrested Humberto Lopez-Guzman, 27, Rodolfo Aldaran, 27, and Armando Torres, 21, all of Dallas, at the scene and they were taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

All men were charged with possession of marijuana.

Sheriff Bridges stated that he believed the marijuana was destined for Nacogdoches and that the Sheriff Office was attempting to identify that location.

It is apparent that they have identified and arrested a large distributor of narcotics that has been supplying the area.
