Three dead in North Texas plane crash
PARIS — Three Utah men died in a Saturday morning plane crash in Lamar County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety announced the deaths after a plane crash that took place shortly after a single engine Piper took off from Cox Field in Paris. The plane was headed for Austin, DPS officials said.
The plane crashed near Glory in Lamar County. Killed in the crash were passengers Michael Bradley and Michael Endo, along with pilot, Rob Thompson.
The plane was registered to Celtic Bank Special Assets out of Salt Lake City. Bank officials said the cause of the crash was unknown. The National Transportation Board is investigating the crash.
“This is a challenging and difficult time for the entire Celtic Bank family. We are sad and focused exclusively on providing love and support for the families and friends of those lost in the crash," said Reese Howell, Jr., chairman and CEO of Celtic Bank.
