Three indicted in beating death of disabled Longview man
Longview — An Upshur County grand jury Thursday returned three capital murder indictments in the case of a mentally disabled Longview man whose beaten and burned body was found in December in a rural area of the county.
Sarah Haslam, 20, Daniel Jones, 19, both of Longview, and Andrew Conrad Norwine, 21, of Arlington, are charged with kidnapping and killing Ronnie Joe Gammage, 27, of Longview.
“It’s just one more step in the process of prosecuting these cases,” said Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd.
