Three people were injured in a shooting in Lufkin overnight.

Police tell KETK, it happened near Winston Park in the 1000 block of Clinton Street.

Authorities were first notified after midnight Wednesday when hospital personnel at Memorial Health Systems reported that three gunshot victims had arrived at the emergency room. Two of the victims, Uric Godet and Trasmin Perkins both of Lufkin, sustained injuries to their leg. The third victim was shot in the back.

Godet and Perkins were treated and released from the hospital. The third victim was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston by helicopter.

From information gathered by detectives, it appears that the shooting was gang related.
