Tyler Junior College’s enrollment is increasing rapidly. So much so, the school is having a hard time housing its students.
The campus currently holds over a thousand beds in student housing and will have another dorm ready for the upcoming fall semester that will add an additional 248, but that barely puts a dent into the number of students on the waiting list.

Over 800 students are currently waiting for a spot to open up in campus housing. The school recently partnered with the University of Texas at Tyler to help house some of the students.

The University’s apartment complex, Eagle’s Landing, will be open for TJC students. This is especially encouraging for students who plan to transition from the Junior College to the 4-year University. Students at TJC were excited about the collaboration. They understand the need for more housing and were happy to have another option that keeps them active on campus and able to experience the college atmosphere. Currently, around 200 TJC students are already living at Eagle's Landing apartment complex.
