Friday, February 7, 2014 - 7:51pm

This Valentine's Day East Texans will be able to spend their evening gazing up into a world far beyond their wildest dreams. This is the third year the Tyler Junior College Center for Earth and Space will host "love under the stars." A romantic evening for two centered around stargazing.

"You can see a great number of starts from a vantage point you would never be able to see from Earth," said Justin Parish, TJC Center for Earth and Space Assistant Director. "Love is a very popular aspect of the starts, you know everybody thinks astronomy is a romantic science, and it is."

Seated in their full-dome planetarium, guests will experience a beautifully visual show all about romance and the constellations.

"We take you on a trip through the solar system and show you the different planets and how they relate to the Romans and what their inspiration of love was from," Parish said.

"It gives that element of trying something new, a little bit of adventure and there's something really sweet about being there with just one other person and experiencing the same thing at the same time," said part-time educator Jennifer Rader.

Tickets are 75 dollars per couple, and it is 21 and over. Advance tickets can be purchased online at Seating is limited.
