TYLER - "It's devastating my wife and I were both really upset, it's horrible."

A Tyler neighborhood is still reeling with the near drowning of a toddler.

"I jumped out the car and asked her what was going on and she said my three-year-old had drowned we found him in the pool."

Officials tell KETK the childs name is Noah Weisberg. Police say Weisberg climbed up a ladder and fell into an above ground pool where his grandfather says he found the child floating.
Similar scenes have ended in drownings of several East Texas toddlers this summer.

In June authorities pulled out the body of a five year old Joseph Cooks out of Lake Tyler. Just over a week later a 4-year-old died after he fell into a pool at the Cambridge Apartments in Tyler.

Most recently, on Wednesday, another child drowned at the Villages Resort in Flint, again in a pool making that the seventh drowning so far this year in East Texas, and the sixty-seventh statewide.

Each time authorities say adults turned away for just a few moments like Noah's mom who went in the kitchen.

Neighbors tell KETK, they have already learned something going through the incident.

"Watch your children, if you got a child in the house make sure the doors are locked where they can't reach the doors or make sure you watch your kids carefully."

I have a 3 y'old and a newborn, and I'm house hunting--I won't even LOOK at a house that has a unfenced pool anywhere on the BLOCK. And thank you Google maps for letting me check!
