Tony Dorsett talks about his brain disease
Los Angeles — NFL Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett has a degenerative brain condition caused by head trauma.
He played 12 seasons with the Cowboys and he ran for over 12,000 yards.
"I'm in communication with the doctors at UCLA and we're going to try to figure out a way on how to fight this, how to combat this," Dorsett said. "I've been told that we can slow it down, we can stop it, and sometimes we can even reverse it."
"I'm too scared to kill myself," Dorsett continued. "I believe there's a Lord. And I'm going to put this in God's hands as a matter of fact. But if I plan on going to Heaven, you can't kill yourself and go to Heaven."
