"Too Hot to Cook" fundraiser benefits local food box

Restaurant owners in Longview are gearing up for the annual "Too Hot to Cook" fundraiser.

The event is in its 17th year and will feature more local eateries this year than previous years.

Proceeds from the restaurants will go to the Longview Community Ministries Food Box. The organization hands out 600 boxes every week to families and individuals in need. "Too Hot to Cook" is also one of the biggest fundraiser for LCM each year.

Bodacious BBQ (6th Street(

Cotton Patch Cafe



Dudley's Cajun Cafe

Papacita's Mexican Restaurant

Willy G's

Johnny Cace's Seafood and Steakhouse

McAlister's Deli

Tyler Street Bistro

Tele's Mexican Restaurant


McDonald's (NW Loop 281, Loop 281 at Gilmer Rd, Hwy 80 near Good Shepherd)

Donations can also be made to Longview Community Ministries at 506 North Second Street.
