UPDATE (9:35 A.M.)

The name of the victim has been released,

Cynthia Strandberg, 36, was pinned in side the vehicle after the train and her car collided.

She was airlifted to a local hospital where she is in critical condition.

The train has been removed from the scene, and traffic is flowing normally.

Authorities have yet to release the condition of the woman who was sent to the hospital.


UPDATE (3:16 p.m.): A witness tells KETK the injured person was airlifted to a Tyler hospital.

KETK will update infromation when it becomes available.


A train and car collided in Troup on North Georgia Street and Colle Street. Emergency crews are already on scene.

Authorities tell KETK a helicopter has been requested and someone is pinned in the car.

KETK has a crew en route and will update information as it becomes available.
