Trane lays off 370 in Tyler
August 14, 2009 - 11:13am
TYLER - Trane plans to cut 370 production jobs jobs in Tyler. A company spokesperson says these cuts are seasonal, and will be effective August 24th.
The air conditioning systems company brought back 165 workers in May, because of summer demand. Officials say that is not unusual because of the season.
Trane representatives say they are working closely with the union and employees, giving as much information as possible about income extension aid, unemployment benefits and employee assistance programs.

I have worked for Trane in the past and this is why when I was called back I did not accept. I do not understand why anyone would put their family in through this cycle of lay-offs.
