FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - An initial recommendation has been made
on whether an Army psychiatrist should stand trial for last year's
fatal shooting rampage at Fort Hood, but military officials aren't
disclosing it.

Col. James Pohl made his recommendation in a report Tuesday, a
day after a military court hearing for Maj. Nidal Hasan ended.

Hasan is facing 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of
attempted premeditated murder for the November 2009 attack at the
Texas Army post.

Fort Hood officials say Pohl's report will go to another Army
officer, though the final decision rests with a commanding general.

More than two dozen soldiers wounded during the shootings
testified during the hearing. Hasan's defense attorneys called no
witnesses.
