HAWAII - Waves from a tsunami sparked by an earthquake in Chile have hit Hawaii, but they aren't as bad as initially thought.
Waves mostly affected Hilo Bay on the big island.
The highest wave there measured about five and a half feet, while Maui saw waves as high as six feet.
No major damage was reported.
Scientists hope to cancel the tsunami warning soon but say residents should still be cautious.
