This morning they awoke to the news of the magnitude 8.9 earthquake shook Japan. A spokesman for T.J.C says the Apache Bells were moved to a higher room in their hotel this morning when they received word of a possible tsunami headed toward Hawaii.

For those worried about friends or family on the trip, officials say they are updating Facebook to keep everyone updated.

As I former Apache Belle, I can tell you that those girls paid their own way. Even if the school DID pay their way so what?!? They were performing a civic duty and I can assure you they provide more alumni dollars to TJC than any other group. 50% of the "Lifetime" Alumni are Apache Gold (the Belles Alumni Group.)

Your property tax dollars on vacation, how nice.

Yes, it was nice of them. They raised money, paid their own way, many of them didn't really have it and could've used the money for things for themselves, but went for the troops. They entertained the troops on base, taught classes for the children of the troops, and performed at the USS Missouri among other things. And all of it without one of your tax dollars. So sleep easy. They didn't even need your money to go say thank you to our military. They can do it on their own. :)
