Tuesday wildfire update
TEXAS — Yesterday Texas Forest Service responded to 5 fires for 9 acres.
Today the Texas Forest Service responded to 3 requests for assistance from local fire departments.
Panola County, Fire #86 - TFS bulldozer responded to 3 acre fire on CR 127 off of 999 at 11:30 am. Fire was controlled at 12:55 pm. No structures threatened.
Grimes County, Fire #194 - TFS bulldozer and supervision responded to a 2 acre fire at 1:00 am. Cause: unknown. Fire was controlled at 8:47 am.
Jasper County, Fire #195 - TFS bulldozers responded to an 8 acre fire in a pine plantation and hardwood bottom. Fire was a catchout from a prescribed burn. Fire was controlled at 9:45 am.
