One real estate company has saddled up the 50 'Most Cowboy Cities' in Texas, and it looks like two East Texas cities have boot-scooted their way onto to the Top Ten List.

The Rose City Capitol ranked at the top of the list and Longview came in at number five.

When KETK discussed this report with East Texans they said they really weren't all that surprised and they can see why Tyler is number one.

From roses to cowboys, Tyler ranked number one and Longview rides in at number 5.

"There's a lot of type cowboys in this area," says Robert Weesner of Cavender's Boot City.

"Well I believe they're right we have a lot of Cowboy Churches than any other place and we have lot of horses and cowboys," says Al Worley, East Texan.

What's make Tyler "cowboy" exactly?

Well, according to East Texans its things like:

•Western wear stores
•Steakhouses
•Saloons
•Gun stores
•American truck dealerships
•Country radio stations
•Rodeos

"Guns stores because people in East Texas believe in self-defense and there's a lot of hunting and skeet shooting," says Dee Kirkpatrick.

"You have a lot of town around here that carry a lot of cowboy activities and rodeos and horse shows also, a lot of farmers and ranchers, hay business and cattle business," says Weesner.
