Two felons in Lufkin charged with possessing firearms, marijuana

Lufkin, TX — Lufkin Police officers arrested two Lufkin residents on an unlawful weapons charge Sunday.
Officers responded around 10:50 a.m. Sunday to a disturbance at a home in the 1800 block of Wood Avenue, according to a police report. While investigating the disturbance, officers found marijuana and firearms inside the residence, the report stated.
Inside a gym bag, officers found more than two pounds of marijuana, a .25-caliber handgun and a box of .380-caliber ammunition, the report stated. Officers also located a .380-caliber handgun in a dirty clothes basket, according to the report.
