Two more Texans die from West Nile

East Texas — The Texas Department of State Health Services on Wednesday reported two new Texas deaths attributed to West Nile illness, bringing the state’s death toll to 61.
Two new cases of West Nile fever were reported in Gregg County, along with one new case of West Nile fever in each of Panola, Rusk and Titus counties. There were two new cases of West Nile fever reported in Smith County.
