Two shot by husband in Tyler; 1 victim in critical condition
Tyler police report that two people in Tyler are recovering in local hospitals after being shot late Wednesday night.
Don Marting, Tyler police, says the victims are a 35-year-old black female and a 34-year-old black male. The female was shot once, and the male was shot several times. He is currently in critical condition.
According to police, it was the female victim's husband who shot the two. Reports don't show what caused the shooting to take place.
It happened along the 600 block of Lyons; right across from the UPS station.
Martin said after the shooting the husband informed his parents of what he had done. Late last night, he turned himself in to Smith County police.
