TX Senator planning to step down
July 30, 2009 - 6:18am
UNDATED — Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is planning to step down from the Senate this fall to battle fellow Republican Rick Perry for Governor.
The Senator talked about her decision in a radio interview on Wednesday.
She says, she wants to stay in the Senate long enough to fight President Obama's healthcare plan.
Mrs. Hutchison says she will launch her campaign for Governor in August.

How many years has she been in Washington and has done absolutely nothing...Why should we think she would be a better governor than what we have now...

7 months agoIt will be interesting to hear her explain just why she thinks an "enhanced" levee is preferable to a personnel and vehicle barrier at the border.
She was very instrumental in keeping the fence from being built in certain parts of the valley a year or so ago; so is she or is she not willing to PREVENT illegal aliens from entering the state?
If she can convince enough people that she is not owned by the growers and builders of the state who love cheap labor, she just might win.
