TYLER-One Tyler family is now homeless after there mobile home burned to the ground.

Just after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning firefighters got a call about a burning mobile home located in the 500 block of House Avenue in Tyler. Vanda Hudson and her grandson were awaken by the smell of smoke. Luckily, Hudson and her grandson were able to get out safely. Hudson has two other grandchildren who live with her, but were not home when the fire started. Hudson said she is thankful because the fire started in one of their bedrooms.

Tyler Fire Investigator Laura Mason said the cause of the fire is still uncertain. "It appears to have started in a bedroom around an electrical outlet but we have not come up with a final determination at this time," Mason said.

In the fire Hudson and her family lost everything. If you would like to help the Hudson family you can contact the Tyler Chapter of the Red Cross at (903) 581-7981 or call our newsroom at (903) 581-5656.
