A fast food worker was attacked and robbed overnight in Tyler. The assailant is still on the loose.

Police tell KETK, it happened just before midnight Monday at the McDonald's restaurant located at 180 Loop 323 S SW.

The suspect was waiting outside the business when one of the employees exited to deliver food to a waiting customer. The suspect approached the employee punched her and took the food out of her hands. He then ran from the store north bound. Officers searched the area but could not find him.

He was described as a thin black male wearing a white tee shirt and orange ball cap. He was approximately 5’07 to 5’09 and 140 to 150 pounds.

Tyler Police believe the assailant paid for the money before hitting the worker.
