TYLER - Just after 5 a.m. today, Tyler Police say they got a call about an assault at Bergfeld Park on South College Avenue.

The woman said while she was jogging near the park, a man dressed in all black attacked her. She says the man hid himself in a wooded area and attacked her from behind as she passed by. He then forced the woman to the ground and started to touch her inappropriately.

Police say the woman managed to fight the man and escape.

Update:  Officer Don Martin with the Tyler Police Department says police are still looking for the man, they say attacked a female jogger in the Bergfeld Park area early Monday morning around 5 am.  Martin says the man was wearing a ski mask and was hiding in the bushes off of Second and Broadway by the park.  Martin says the woman who was attacked and forced to the ground was able to fight back, by using mase and a fog horn.  Police are asking anyone with information on this man to call Tyler Police or Crimestoppers right away.  KETK will bring you the very latest on this investigation LIVE @ 5.
