Tyler Police tell KETK, they have located UA (Unauthorized Absence) Marine, Austin Shipp, 19, of Tyler. 

Shipp escaped police custody earlier Tuesday afternoon after being arresed for shoplifting.

Police located Shipp at the intersection of Hollytree and Rieck Road around 5:10 p.m.

Shipp was arrested for shoplifting, which is a Class B misdemeanor and is expected to be charged for escaping, which is a Class A misdemeanor.

Shipp currently has a warrant out for his arrest from the military for Desertion from the Marines.

According to the United States Marine Corp, the desertion warrant was issued earlier in August after Shipp disappeared from Camp Pendleton, California.

Shipp will be booked into Smith County jail on charges of Escape, a class A Misdemeanor, Fail to Identify Fugitive and Theft.
