Tyler Police Break Up Robbery In Progress

TYLER - Tyler Police have arrested a man they say was attempting to rob a family dollar store.

Police were called out to the Family Dollar on the 14-hundred block of West Gentry around 8:00 Sunday night.

Officers say, the robber entered the store with a gun and demanded money.

After the cashier gave the man the money, he ran out.

A witness who was waiting in her car while her stepfather was inside the store, tells us what she saw.

Comaneci Gordon says, "The second time he ran out he had all the money in his hand and he ran right into the police. He dropped all the money and the Police came from everywhere."

Police say.. 25-year-old Joel Domiguez of Tyler was taken into custody.

He is charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Officials say, no one was injured.
