Late Friday night at 11:35 p.m. officers with Tyler Police Department were called to a  robbery at the Rite Track Valero gas station located at 1700 block of East Gentry Parkway.

Once on the scene, police were told that a Hispanic male entered the business yelling at customers to stop moving while demanding the cashier to give him all the money in the register. The suspect then jumped onto the counter, reached into the cash register, and took an undetermined amount of cash from the register. He then left the business and fled the scene northbound on East Gentry Parkway in a dark colored SUV or compact car.

The suspect is described as a thin, but muscular Hispanic male wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black and blue scar with white lines running across it that covered his face. He was also seen wearing a black cap with a white W printed on the side.

The surrounding area around the business was searched by officers but they were unable to locate the suspect.

Fortunately, there were no injuries to report.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspect.
