Tyler Police looking for man involved in an aggravated robbery

Tyler Police are investigating a robbery that happened earlier this evening.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. on October 8, 2013. Tyler Police were told that a 60 year old woman was walking to her car at Wal Mart in the 3800 of Highway 64 West.

The woman placed her groceries into her vehicle and walked to return the cart to the return location.

As the woman was walking back to her vehicle, she was approached by a suspect who grabbed her purse.

The woman refused to let go of her purse and the suspect then threw the woman to the ground still attempting to take her purse.

A nearby customer heard the victim screaming and ran to help, the suspect then fled the scene on foot.

The victim received minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a black male standing at 6 feet tall with an average build.

He is between the ages of 35 to 40 years old.

He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt and blue jeans.

Store video shows the suspect entering a white vehicle and leaving the scene towards the Highway 64 exit.

The vehicle may be a Buick LeSabre.
