Tyler Police looking into surveillance video of Family Dollar robbery

Tyler police are still looking for the man responsible for the Family Dollar robbery Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Family Dollar store in Loop 323, South of Highway 110 just before 10 a.m.

We spoke with the Family Dollar assistant manager Erica Cruz came face -to- face with the robber.

Cruz says a black man who looked to be in his 30s walked in the store covering his face with his shirt and demanded cash. He then went around to the front of the register where Cruz was ringing up a customer. Cruz says, the man threatened her by saying he’d blow her head off.  She feared of the man on the other side of the counter. She wasn’t sure if he had a gun

Cruz says the man asked for the cash again. The customer tells Cruz to just give him the money. As she opened the cash drawer taking the money out, the man grabbed the money from her and ran off. Cruz says he stole $126.00.

Tyler Police Investigators are looking through surveillance video. The man was last seen wearing a jacket, a green shirt and jeans. If you have any information on this robbery you are asked to contact the Tyler Police Department right away.
