Tyler Police need your help with February homicide case

TYLER — From Tyler Police:
Tyler Police need your help with any information related to the Homicide that occurred at 4516 Edinburgh on February 24, 2011. Investigators determined that the (victim) Harold Miller and (unknown) suspect had a violent struggle before the victim was killed. Investigators believe that the suspect suffered a serious cut to his hands or arms during the incident.
Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
UPDATE 10:20 P.M.: Tyler Police Investigators have officially ruled this investigation as a Homicide. Details of the case are not being released at this time so the case will not be compromised. Further information will be brought forward as the case progresses.

UPDATE 2:20 P.M.: FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Tyler Fire, Police and EMS responded to a house fire located at 4516 Edinburgh around 11:17 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011. The fire was observed by a neighbor who was passing by the residence who observed the smoke and flames.
Tyler Fire Fighters located a deceased male inside the residence while attending to the fire. Tyler Police Investigators responded to the scene due to the suspicious nature of the deceased body that was located. Investigators have confirmed the identification of the deceased; he was identified as Harold Davinci Miller, B/M, DOB (07-29-1982). Miller will be taken to Southwest Forensics for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Further details will be released when new information becomes available from investigators
UPDATE 1:29 P.M.: Tyler Fire Officer Paul Findley says they first received a call on the fire at 11:17 this morning.

UPDATE 1:06 P.M.: Officer Don Martin says there is evidence that makes the incident "suspicious in nature."

UPDATE 12:48 P.M.: Tyler Officer Don Martin says the victim is a male and his body has not been removed from the scene.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.

UPDATE 12:39 P.M.: The Tyler police chief is now on the scene.
KETK should have more information from the Tyler public information officer soon.
UPDATE 12:28 P.M.: A fire official tells KETK a body was found at the scene of the fire.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.

UPDATE 12:21 P.M.: Officials have marked off the scene with crime tape.
Several investigators are on the scene, one is interviewing an apparent witness who saw the fire.

UPDATE 11:52 P.M.: A KETK photographer says a Tyler police crime scene van is now on the scene.
Also on the scene, at least one EMS truck, 5 fire trucks and 2 fire marshal trucks.

TYLER - Scanner traffic this morning indicates a passerby saw smoke pouring out of a garage in the 4000 block of Edinburgh Drive.
Tyler fire is on the scene and EMS is en route. It is unclear at this time why EMS is assisting.
