Tyler police respond to shooting
On August 8, 2011 at approximately 12:52 a.m. officers from the Tyler Police Department responded to a shooting at the apartment complex located at 3200 Walton Road.
Upon arriving on scene officers contacted the victims, whose names and ages are presently being withheld. According to the victims, after arriving at the apartment complex they were approached by 5 to 6 unknown black males who began shooting at the victims while they were sitting inside their vehicle.
The victims managed to escape the apartment complex unharmed before the suspects fled the area possibly in a blue 4 door Crown Victoria.
The suspects were described as black males, one wearing a dark and blue stripped shirt, a second wearing an orange shirt and a third wearing a blue shirt. The scene and the victim’s vehicle was processed for evidence and the case remains under investigation.
