On June 25, 2011, at approximately 11:20 PM, the Tyler Police Department responded to a robbery of an individual which occurred at the Southside Motor Bank on South Broadway Avenue in Tyler. Officers arrived and contacted a 28 year old female, who reported that she had just been the victim of a robbery which occurred by the ATM machine of the Southside Motor Bank. The victim stated that she pulled up to the ATM machine in her vehicle when an unknown black male subject entered her vehicle and demanded that she withdraw money from her bank account. The suspect pulled the victim’s hair and held an unknown object to the back of the victim’s head. The victim withdrew money from the ATM machine, which was taken by the suspect. The suspect then directed the victim to drive out of the bank parking lot and to an apartment complex located at 5621 Old Bullard Road. The suspect exited the victim’s vehicle and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. The victim drove away from the apartment complex and called 911. Tyler Police Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect in this robbery. This case remains under investigation.
