Tyler Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint.

Monday morning at approximately 12:45 am, police responded to 3900 Troup Hwy, on a report of a robbery of a taxi driver for Tyler Cab.

Police tell KETK, The driver had just purchased food at the Taco Bell nearby. He drove next door to the Time It lube and parked behind the building to eat his food. While there he was approached by a black male subject. The suspect pulled out a hand gun and forced the victim out of his vehicle. He then demanded the victims property.

After taking the property the suspect took the keys to the cab and fled the area west on Lindbergh.

The driver was not injured.

The suspect was described as black male in his mid-twenties , 5'08/170 with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue and white bandana around his neck, a tight blue shirt and blue jean shorts. He also had a chrome semi-auto pistol with black grips.
