Tyler Taco Bell shooting suspect turns himself in

Tyler police say the man they believe shot at a Taco Bell restaurant Wednesday night has turned himself in.

Police say Guillermo Flores Jr., turned himself in to police late Friday afternoon.

Flores is believed to have shot at the fast food restaurant on S. Broadway around 11:30 Wednesday night. Witnesses said they saw a man, later identified as Guillermo Flores Jr., firing several rounds from a pistol toward Joseph Gilliam.

When officers arrived, they learned Flores and Gilliam were verbally fighting. The altercation then led to shots being fired, according to Tyler police. Flores then left the scene before the officers arrived.

Tyler police said no one was injured during the shooting.

Flores is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

His bond has been set at $250,000.
